Autumn 2017 Newsletter

Our New World

Wow, it is time for Open House at Quilters’ Corner, Sunday, September 24th from noon to 4pm.

This email is how we will be communicating with our customers from now on; the paper newsletter has had to go by the wayside.  But we will keep you all updated on our class schedules and our latest and greatest events and products on the website (, by clicking the UPCOMING CLASS and CALENDAR & EVENTS buttons.

Now that summer is over, maybe you will have a little more time for yourself. Please take some of that time to peruse the schedule. Maybe sign up for a class or two. Come to the shop and get a few supplies for your latest projects. See what's new!

We have clubs to join, sew-ins to attend, a bus trip to PIQF has only a few spaces left, an upcoming Garage Sale (staff’s stash) (Sunday October 22nd), and so much more.

Don’t forget 5th Saturday Bag Sales – September 30th and December 30th, and our after Thanksgiving sales

Registration for the 2018 Last Saturday Block of the Month program will be open October 28th, space is limited so be sure sign up quickly.

As usual, new fabric pours in every day. We can barely keep up with the boxes, getting them open and on the floor. It's like Christmas every day! We have added a new collection of Australian fabrics and keep expanding our selection of Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

As you might already know, we are known for our Civil War fabrics, but we couldn't help but expand forward to the early 1790's with Di Ford. We have both of her books and all of her fabric collections. The fabrics are a little brighter and softer. Her latest collection is called Clotted Creams & Carmel and is on the shelf. It's neutral and creamy, and will be a perfect background for any project.

For those of you who love batiks, we have an entire wall, including a section of multicolored bolts. We don't stick with one company: we like to order from multiple sources such as Hoffman, Kaufman, Island Batiks, RJR, Moda, and Anthology to name a few bring us multitude famous batiks

If you haven't started your holiday quilts yet, now is the time. We have an excellent section of Halloween fabrics and kits, and believe it or not, our Christmas fabric’s is already getting low. So, get your projects going or finished up and come in and see us soon.

We will be closed the following dates:

November 22nd & 23rd to celebrate Thanksgiving

December 8th -10th Shop Holiday Retreat

December 24th & 25th to celebrate Christmas

December 31st & January 1st to celebrate the New Year
